Zambian Orphan left Alone without Hope

Horizon in Zambia - Many Spiritual and Physical needs remain

We praise the Lord God Almighty who watches over His precious children. Thirteen-year-old Lucy suffered from a sever emotional disturbance after witnessing the rape and murder of her beloved Mother four years ago. Following her Mother’s death Lucy was left alone and abandoned. There were no other remaining relatives. Even now Lucy struggles. At times she chooses not to talk or associate with her friends. She travels from village to village looking for both work and food. As she travels she prays for a place to lay her head a night, a loving family to take her in. At times it’s difficult to determine those who desire to help and those who want to take advantage. Even when looking for places to sleep, she is fearful of village men who want to rape and take advantage of her. Having to live a life of caution and constant awareness of her surroundings, she has lost faith and hope in families and people who wish to help. Today no one knows what tomorrow might bring, not even Lucy herself. Let us join hands in prayer as we surrender this child into the Lord’s hand of protection. Our hope and prayer for Lucy is that a shelter may be provided or built she no longer has to travel looking for lodging. We pray in faith that this shelter will provide Lucy a fresh new start. Thank you for your prayers and the support you give to help the lives of these needy children.
